Bagrati Cathedral
western Georgia
Our travel tours in Georgia are mainly conducted on natural, historical and architectural monuments. One of them is the 12th century Bagrati Cathedral. It was a UNESCO World Heritage Site (but an inadvertent violation of technical conditions during the restoration work led to the cancellation of the monument status).
The temple is located in western Georgia, in Kutaisi, which is the main administrative center of Imereti region.
One-day and multi-day tours to Bagrati Cathedral are organized from Tbilisi and Batumi. Bagrati temple is 225 km. from Tbilisi, 130 km from Batumi.
The group should consist of at least four people and in some cases at least six people. In summer, tours start early in the morning after breakfast and end with dinner in the evening.
Breakfast time in summer is from 7:00 to 19:45.
In spring and autumn from 8:30 to 21:15, in winter from 8:45 to 21:30.
For lunch, the group of travelers will stop at one of the city’s cafes or on the road; Lunch will be pre-ordered at a restaurant in town, on the road or with family, and dinner will be where the group members are staying overnight.
During the excursion, the group of travelers will travel around the city by all types of transport, what will be at a specific time depends on the specific situation and out-of-town tours will be carried out by special transport.
