Tbilisi

Tbilisi was founded by Vakhtang Gorgasali in the 4th century. The city is located in Eastern Georgia.
The oldest architectural monument in Tbilisi is the 6th century Christian church Anchiskhati. Christianity was spread in Georgia in 4th-5th centuries. Since the foundation of Tbilisi, there are ancient shrines of Hebrew, Islamic and Catholic confessions. 

Cognitive tour to Mtskheta

Mtskheta – East Georgia. Archaeological expedition (base in Mtskheta with materials of Bronze and ancient period). Mtskheta, one of the oldest cities of the country of Georgia (in Kartli province of Eastern Georgia), is located approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Tbilisi at the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers. Mtskheta is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Due to its historical significance and numerous ancient monuments, the “Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe is built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.

Cognitive tour to Khevsureti

Shatili is located in Khevsureti, in north part of eastern Georgia, in high mountains. From the middle ages until 1970 year it was considered as a populated area. At the same time Shatili was both: a village and a fortress. Shatili has extraordinary beauty. In fact, this village is home to fortresses and towers. Shatili is included in UNESCO World Heritage Trial List.

Mestia is administrative center of Svaneti. It is located in western Georgia, in high mountains 1500 meters above sea level. It was granted the status of a townlet in 1968. Here you can see many unique Svan towers of the middle age and churches with unique paintings.
Domestic flights are operated from Mestia airport.

Chazhashi

Village Chazhashi fully represents museums and “UNESCO” monument. The village is located 44 kilometers north from Mestia.
Village Chazhashi is special for its svan towers and fortresses.

Ushguli

Village Ushguli is located 45 kilometers from Mestia. In Georgia and in Europe it is the most highest populated area, which is 2050 – 2200 meters above sea level.
There are 8 historical and cultural monuments in Ushguli. Here you can see a museum of archeology, svan towers, which represents unique examples of architecture and art of medieval Georgia. For these reasons Village Ushguli is declared by government as a reserve.

Kazbegi
Stefantsminda is a tiny populated area. It is located in Mtiuleti on the north side of eastern Georgia. Stepantsminda was named after a Georgian Orthodox monk named Stephan, who constructed a hermitage at this location on what later became the Georgian Military Road. The town is located along the banks of the Terek River, 157 kilometers (98 mi) to the north of Tbilisi at an elevation of 1,740 meters (5,710 feet) above sea level.

Climate
Stepantsminda’s climate is moderately humid with relatively dry, cold winters and long and cool summers. The average annual temperature is 4.9 degrees Celsius. Stepantsiminda is known for its scenic location in the Greater Caucasus mountains, and is a center for trekkers and mountain climbing. Local attractions include the Kazbegi Museum and Ethnographic Museum in town, and Gergeti Trinity Church outside of town, as well as Mount Kazbegi itself and the alpine meadows and forests of the surrounding Kazbegi Nature Reserve.
