Samtavro Monastery, in addition to being a medieval Christian temple, today it is also a popular tourist gathering place. Tours of medieval Christian monuments in Georgia include the Principality Monastery, located in Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. A UNESCO World Heritage Tour with this monastery includes the Monastery of the Cross and the Svetitskhovli Cathedral – all three architectural monuments are located in Mtskheta.
